This scenic 3 night route on the Norfolk Broads is an excellent choice for nature lovers and those after a relaxing break on the Broads!
The Scenic 3 Night Route
Night 1
Cruise across Barton Broad and down the River Ant to find yourself at How Hill. With picture-perfect views, attractions such as the Electric Eel boat trip and Toad Hole cottage, decorated to mimic the life of a marshman living and working in the area from times gone by. There is also a nature trail to follow here, as well as beautiful gardens surrounding How Hill House.
Night 2
Take your time down the River Bure, towards Wroxham, and take in the natural scenery that borders the Broads. You’ll arrive at Salhouse Broad within 2 hours or so, so perhaps stop at Horning along the way and explore! Between April and September there are services running at Salhouse Broad, including bike, canoe, and kayak hire!
Night 3
Make your way back down the River Bure and cruise onto the River Thurne for a lunch-time pit stop at Womack Water and explore the nearby village of Ludham. Then, cruise back up the River Ant and moor at Ludham bridge for your final night. Here you can enjoy a beautiful walk along Buttle Marsh, accessible from a farm track on the left off Ludham road.
A 7:00am start the next day will see you back at Richardson’s in Stalham before 9:00am.
