Eating Out in Burgh St Peter & Cantley

Richardson’s guide to some of the best places for eating out in Burgh St Peter and Cantley.

The Waveney Inn

The Waveney Inn dates back to at least 1879, when it was a hotel for wherrymen as well as a zoological garden.

Daniel and his team look forward to welcoming you to this famous waterside pub; offering a delicious menu of locally-sourced food – freshly prepared and cooked on the premises – as well as Adnams and guest ales.

You can eat al fresco on the pub’s huge deck overlooking the marina, or you can relax indoors in the contemporary air-conditioned bar and restaurant. Meals come in three portion sizes to suit all appetites and wifi is free.

The Wavney Inn is located at the Waveney River Centre, where there are moorings with hook-up, luxury showers, play areas, a shop and a swimming pool.

“Food quality is very good indeed and the use of local produce and suppliers is to be complimented”  Julian Wooldridgeindependent quality assessor.

The Reedcutter Inn

There are beautiful views across the marshes and down the River Yare at the Reedcutter Inn, and with the pub providing home cooked meals to suit all, it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.

All produce at the Reedcutter Inn is sourced locally and the meals are very generous in size. There is also a kid’s menu available, with both children and dogs welcome in the bar area, which features an open fire during colder months. The Reedcutter Inn has lots of entertainment too, with free play bar billliards, a pool table, and a dart board. Outside there is a large beer garden and the pub also sells basic provisions for boaters and provides free wifi too!
