We’re working hard to make the Norfolk Broads more eco-friendly, but we’ll always need your assistance.
How can you help the Broads?
As a visitor, you have a very important role to play in helping us to conserve the fragile ecosystems that co-exist on the Broads. If you’d like to help sustain the wildlife and plants that make this special place so popular, we’ve pulled together some hints and tips to help you make sure your holiday is as green as possible:
Reduce energy by switching off lights and closing windows if the heating is on. The Energy Saving Trust provide a wealth of hints and tips to get you started.
Leave the car behind, if only for a day. Walk, cycle or use public transport. We will happily provide you with advice.

Help us to look after the landscape and wildlife by not littering, guarding against fire and using footpaths and cycle-ways responsibly. Ensure you always follow the Countryside Code.
There are thousands of businesses in Britain working to reduce their carbon footprint through the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Businesses are awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold for their efforts to be more sustainable; we have just been given a Silver Award.
