Top Things to Do in the Southern Broads
Moor at: Norwich Yacht Station and walk 10 minutes through the city.
Built by the Normans over 900 years ago and located in the cultural city of Norwich, Norwich Castle’s original use was as a Royal Palace. The Castle has housed Norwich Museum since 1894, and this has been the Castle’s purpose till present day. Inside there are significant objects from around East Anglia, including archaeological finds and natural history objects. The castle sits atop a hill overlooking Castle Meadow and, naturally, is in close proximity to Castle Mall, one of the city’s shopping centres, if you fancy a spending spree!
Moor at: Reedham Quay and walk 20 minutes through a public footpath
If you’re on a boating holiday with younger children, then Pettitts Animal Adventure Park in Reedham will be the highlight of the Souther Broads for them. 3 parks in 1, the attraction features animals, gentle rides, and live entertainment from Bubbly Bingo the Clown and Maxi Mouse! The animals that call the park home vary, from red squirrels to alpacas, goats to reptiles, and more! There are also opportunities to meet the guinea pigs and rabbits that live in the park, and there are a variety of classic soft rides, from spinning teacups to a gentle pirate ship!
