Top Things to do in the Norfolk Broads
BeWILDerwood, Hoveton
Moor at: Horning Staithe
Fun if travelling with children, BeWILDerwood is an adventure playground for all ages. Run free with the children and explore the Sky Maze, or take a boat trip through BeWILDerwood’s Dismal Dyke. There’s also places for toddlers to safely play, as well as food facilities on-site. A great day out – and an easy 15-minute walk from Horning Staithe!

Exploring the Broads by bike is a fantastic way to get close to nature and see some beautiful sights from your bike seat! There are several routes online for you to take your pick from, each with stunning sights and interesting places to visit along the way!
Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham

If nostalgia is more your idea of fun, then the Bure Valley Railway is perfect. Running between the historic market town of Aylsham and the village of Wroxham, the line is 9 miles long, and journeys through picturesque villages and stunning scenery, with the opportunity to hop on-and-off to explore. A roundtrip from Wroxham to Aylsham takes 90 minutes with plenty of places in between to experience, so this is a fantastic day out!
Museum of the Broads, Stalham

Aptly located on the waterside, on the same Staithe as our Stalham Marina, the Museum of the Broads tells the story of Broadland life of times past, through the Romans, medieval peat digging, Broads holidaymakers, and more. The Museum also has its own steam launch, the Falcon, which visitors can take a ride on*! There also a number of exhibitions, including Broads Boat Toilets, historic boats, and lots more!
Ranworth Broad Nature Reserve, Ranworth
Moor at: Ranworth Staithe
Featuring a beautiful floating Broads Wildlife Centre, the Ranworth Broad Nature Reserve has wildfowl, Great crested grebes, and kingfishers. The reserve also has a boardwalk that passes through woodland and reedbeds, with a variety of habitats hidden within. There are also a number of insects to spot, from the rare Swallowtail buttery to the Norfolk hawker dragonfly. A nice day out in nature!
Roy’s of Wroxham, Wroxham

Roys, a family owned group of shops in Wroxham, pride themselves on being “The World’s Largest Village Store”. Founded in the late 19th century by Alfred and Arnold Roy, the shops have expanded ever since, with their largest concentration of branches in Wroxham – so this is definitely worth a look! The Wroxham stores feature a department shop, supermarket, food hall, toy store, gardening, DIY, and more.
