Mooring when Visiting Norwich
There is a Broads Authority yacht station in Norwich, where day mooring costs £5 and overnight mooring until 10am the next day costs £12. The yacht station is a 10-15-minute walk to the city centre, a 5 minute walk to Norwich’s 11th century cathedral and a 2 minute walk to Norwich train station. At the Yacht Station there are many facilities including showers, water, maps, tidetables and rubbish disposal as well as extra paid-for facilities such as pump outs and electrical charging points.
Leisure when Visiting Norwich
A hub of leisure, there’s so much to do that you may struggle to fit it all in! Home to many historic churches and cathedrals, including the gorgeous Norman Cathedral, as well as the city’s imposing Castle, also of Norman origin, there’s plenty to see and explore on your visit to Norfolk’s capital.
Many historic pubs also call Norwich home, as well as a wide array of museums and galleries. The Castle Museum is a must-see, with fine art, archaeology and natural history exhibits together with the chance to explore the castle keep, dungeons and battlements – definitely one the kids will love!
If history isn’t your thing, then the Fine City is also an excellent for shopping. The city is consistently listed in the top 10 places to shop in the UK, with two shopping centres selling big brand names, as well as the Lanes, which include a variety of independent shops, cafés, bars and beauty salons. Make sure you also check out the city’s market, one of the oldest and biggest open-air markets in Britain!
The city also has 4 theatres, 4 cinemas, a bowling alley, arcade, several swimming pools and gyms and many nightclubs, bars, pubs and cafés for you to explore.
